Pastor Richard Pokora serves Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bettendorf, Iowa. He grew up in Springfield, Ill. and graduated from Illinois College. The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago granted him both the Master of Divinity and the Master of Theology degrees. Following graduation, he was ordained into the ministry of the Lutheran Church in America and served a congregation in suburban Chicago. Later he accepted a call to his present congregation and then entered the Doctor of Ministry program at Wartburg Theological Seminary. He is the husband of Gwen and the father of three adult children.
